This one is an exciting one for me, as this post features my brother and his wonderful fiancé. After a decade together, he popped the question and she (obviously) said yes! Nicole has already felt like a part of the family for quite some time now, and it was so exciting to hear that they are moving into their next chapter of life together, and I'm so happy that I get to be a part of it!
These two are probably my favourite people to photograph. Over the years, I've always found my camera pointed at them, as they are so fun and goofy, and always up for anything! As I will be a bridesmaid in their wedding, and will not be photographing their big day, we decided to celebrate their engagement by doing some official photos in the same region where they are going to tie the knot - Niagara!
We drove down to Niagara Glen Nature Reserve with hopes the predicted rain would continue to hold off, and before the sunset. We took a short yet decent hike down to what is better known as the "Niagara Gorge", and I was both taken aback and amazed by the lush beauty of this area. I cannot describe my amazement enough! We climbed over trees and down rocks; down paths surrounded by other huge rocks, tall trees, and descending cliffs, leading to the water which was reminiscent of what you would find flowing through mountains out west. If you know me, you know my love for Western Canada, and this location made me feel like I was transported there... and with it being only an hour drive away, I cannot wait to go back!
On top of their energy and playful love radiating through every shot, they made it even more fun and magical by bringing along little items they love and that make them, them. They brought along masks from Italy, and some of their favourite books. I feel that these photos really capture these two - two quirky, goofy hearts, celebrating their last ten years together and looking forward to many more decades together!
